Abstract

Medical statistics state that the incidence of breast cancer in the world is increasing every year. Timely detection of signs of the disease can significantly reduce the trauma of surgical treatment. However, unfortunately, a significant number of women learn about the diagnosis of "breast cancer" at such a stage in the development of the disease that the only effective treatment is mastectomy – the removal of the affected area and nearby tissues. The consequences of a mastectomy operation are not only an acquired new body morphology, but also a psychosomatic imbalance that destroys a woman's self-esteem. Breast loss for women becomes a difficult test, many perceive the operation as a tragedy, the result of which is the loss of sexuality and attractiveness of the female body.
To improve the quality of life of patients who have undergone complex surgery, special orthopedic underwear is intended. A key product in the assortment of orthopedic underwear is a bra, the wearing of which is recommended by doctors almost immediately after surgery. It is necessary to select an
exoprosthesis of the mammary gland in the kit for the sewing product. Wearing orthopedic bras allows you to hide morphological defects from others, minimize the imbalance load on the muscular system, improve blood circulation and lymph flow in the postoperative period. The article presents the results of a study of the current state of the domestic market of orthopedic products for women after surgical treatment of breast cancer. Important properties of therapeutic bandage bras are high anthropometric conformity and aesthetic perfection of the form, which guarantees reliable fixation of exoprostheses and improves the somatic condition of women. It has been established that there is a fashion development in the orthopedic underwear market that affects the shape of bra cups, the design of materials and the decoration of the décolleté area. Women after mastectomy are more demanding in choosing models of orthopedic bras than ordinary consumers, since satisfaction with the quality of the product contributes to their physical and psychological comfort. The systematization of the requirements for the confection package of medical-bandage and corrective bras, the analysis of three-dimensional configurations of the body shapes of women after mastectomy formed the basis of the method of three-dimensional design of orthopedic bras proposed by the authors.
